Lead, Plant Supply Chain Production
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of parts. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing team members and overseeing their daily activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. The Team Leader supports the Shift Leader in executing corporate strategies, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and achieving performance goals.
Key Functional Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing safety, health, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections, coordinate with maintenance on MHE conditions, and lead incident investigations. Guide team members to follow established procedures and safety standards.

Lead and oversee end-to-end intralogistics operations—including goods receiving, storage, SPS, kitting, sequencing, and line feeding—by coordinating daily activities, assigning and prioritising tasks based on team capabilities and production needs, and managing team administration.

Plan and prioritise team tasks to improve workflow, resolve issues quickly, ensure smooth shift handovers, and coordinate with logistics and production. Support business plans through team development and performance tracking.

Inspect incoming parts for accuracy and defects; manage non-conforming parts and scrap, and implement team instructions and best practices.

Implement and monitor the CMS Logistics pillar, conduct self-assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Support initiatives such as pilot programs, model changes, labor balancing, and coordination with carriers and suppliers. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure MHE availability and readiness.

Optimise the use of labour, equipment, and materials by applying best practices and cost-saving initiatives. Maintain accurate inventory levels, enforce secure storage practices, and ensure alignment with production requirements, budgets, and KPIs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
Experience:

3 years minimum in the relevant field.
