Operator, Plant Supply Chain
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting intralogistics operations by safely and efficiently handling, storing, and moving materials. This includes working with team members and production to ensure timely supply, keeping the work area clean and organised, and following safety rules. Operators help maintain quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness in daily tasks.
Key Functional Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workplace by following all safety protocols and legal requirements for material handling, equipment care, and waste management, while actively contributing to accident prevention, operational efficiency, and overall workplace safety.

Collaborate with team members and production operators to meet material supply needs, support cross-functional tasks, and foster a positive, solution-oriented work environment.

Perform loading, unloading, storing, moving, and organizing of materials efficiently; ensuring timely handling of waste, scrap, and dunnage to maintain workflow.

Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and defects; segregate non-conforming parts, follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles, and ensure quality compliance in all handling processes.

Monitor inventory levels, manage material calls, and use SAP and warehouse systems to track material movements and ensure operational accuracy.

Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely; perform routine checks and maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.

Support cost-saving and sustainability efforts by reducing waste, optimizing storage, and reusing materials and packaging efficiently.

Participate in training programs, suggest process improvements, and contribute to problem-solving initiatives to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.

Support CMS initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational inefficiencies. Track and support the achievement of key metrics in the BPD/Scorecard
Education:
Diploma or High School in manufacturing, mechanical systems, or industrial operations or equivalent.
Experience:

0-2 years minimum in relevant experience in a relevant field.

Intralogistics experience in automotive or manufacturing is preferred.

Forklift driving experience is a plus
