• In this role, the SAP Advanced Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Lead Technical Product Owner will oversee the development, configuration, and optimization of SAP Advanced EWM to support the company’s manufacturing operations and supply chain initiatives. 
• This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP Adv. EWM module, leadership in agile product delivery, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the platform aligns with business objectives.
• Knowledge of SAP EWM working with other modules such as MM and TM modules is a MUST. 
• The ideal candidate will own the product backlog, manage EWM integrations with SAP and MES, and drive continuous improvements to deliver a streamlined supply chain experience.

Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
•    Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements related to SAP ADVANCED EWM.
•    Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
 

Solution Design & Implementation:
•    Optimize Business Processes related with Advanced EWM without heavy customization (Fit to standard approach) and help the adoption of Best Business Practices.
•    Engage with senior product owners and key stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements.
 

Backlog Management:
•    Support the maintenance and prioritization of the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
•    Work with senior product owners to refine and define user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure that development tasks are well-defined.
•    Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure they are ready for development.
•    Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and technical feasibility.
 

Development & Implementation:
•    Coordinate with developers, testers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
•    Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
•    Assist in the testing and validation of SAP ADVANCED EWM solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
 

Process Improvement & Reporting:
•    Identify opportunities to streamline EWM processes and improve parts movements performance.
•    Work closely with MES team to ensure JIT and JIS signals traffic is not failing between AGVs and SAP.
•    Track key performance indicators (KPIs) defined by the supply chain leadership.
 

Development & Agile Practices:
•    Coordinate with developers, testers, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
•    Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
•    Test and validate EWM & MES integration solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
 

Stakeholder Communication:
•    Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of product development and any issues that may arise.
•    Support training and documentation efforts to ensure end-users are equipped with the necessary knowledge to use SAP ADVANCED EWM solutions effectively.
 

Testing & Validation:
•    Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and validate solutions.
•    Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
 

Compliance & Security:
•    Ensure that solutions comply with internal policies, industry standards, and security protocols.
•    Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, customizations, and processes for future reference and audit purposes.
 

Documentation & Training:
•    Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and user guides.
•    Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders.

•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
•    Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
•    Timely delivery of SAP EWM enhancements and projects.
•    Reduction in operational downtime and warehouse inefficiencies.
•    Improved user satisfaction and system adoption rates.
•    Adherence to budget and project scope.
 

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Supply Chain Management, engineering or a related field.
•    SAP EWM certifications (preferred). 
•    Deep knowledge of SAP Advanced EWM functionalities: task interleaving, RF frameworks, resource management, etc.
•    Familiarity with ABAP for debugging purposes and working with development teams.
•    Experience with automation technologies and warehouse robotics (preferred).
•    Hands-on experience with Fiori apps related to EWM.
 

Experience
•    8 to 10+ years of experience in SAP EWM implementation, configuration, and support.
•    Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
•    Strong understanding of warehouse processes and supply chain operations.

•    Experience with integration between EWM and other SAP modules (TM, MM, SD) and external systems
•    Experience working with ABAP developers for customizations and technical integrations.

Certifications

•    SAP certifications in EWM and experience with TM integrating with EWM is preferred.
•    Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.
•    Certifications from American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) in Supply Chain is a major plus but not required
