Associate Engineer, 3rd Party Plant Supply Chain
Job Purpose
The 3rd Party Associate Engineer oversees the supply chain between Consignment (Bailment) Suppliers and Supplier Park Suppliers, interacting with Inbound Logistics and all Plant Supply Chain departments. They also facilitate the process for possible opportunities to improve the flow of the process. The main responsibility is to follow and address any possible claims in disputes between Inbound Logistics, Bailment Suppliers, and Supplier Park Suppliers. Additionally, they will be responsible for auditing and monitoring the Bailment Parts at Supplier Park Suppliers to ensure the inventory is accurate and escalations, if needed, are happening at the right time.
Key Functional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including ISO 9001. Apply ergonomic, lean manufacturing, and CMS principles to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Maintain visual management tools and lead CMS Logistics initiatives, including self-assessments and Supplier Assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Material Launch, ME Packaging, Production, Packaging and Suppliers) to validate and implement packaging solutions. Approve packaging for Bailment Parts , monitor performance during PPAP, and coordinate material handling activities with Suppliers.
- Manage inventory of Bailment Components, validate and support in any item for all Supply chain since Tier 2 Shipment to CEER arrival of Tier 1 material. Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely.
- Validate that the Min-Max process is in place for escalation, Validate Supplier Park Layout for Storage areas, collaborates with Inbound Logistics for resolve any issues regarding Bailment and Tier 1 finished components.
- Collaborate with all CEER Departments, mainly Plant Supply Chain , ME Logistics and Supplier Park teams and Liaise with Supplier Park Suppliers, Inbound Logistics and Bailment Suppliers.
- Lead team members in daily activities at Supplier Park Suppliers or at CEER Plant regarding Bailment Components at Supplier Park Suppliers. support and guidance to the team members in any possible situation, vacations, permissions, emergencies, etc.
- Keep documentation current for standard pack sizes, container types, and handling procedures. Communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Supports on quality issues in packaging and material handling , addresses problems with systems affecting Supplier production or Supply Chain efficiency and ensures compliance with internal controls, quality standards, including ISO 9001 at Supplier Park for Bailment Components.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering.
Experience
- 0 - 3 years in SC systems / Processes / Production Operations or a relevant field.
- Profound knowledge of Material Management Systems is preferred.
- Experience with SAP and CAD knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with 3rd Party Operations is a plus.
