Engineer, Dimensional Matching and Integration

BIW Dimension Engineer responsible for dimension SE(locator/MP/dimension chains), Dimension maturation Q-loop, Slow build, cp/cpk driving and function dimension control.

Main tasks will be:

Dimension SE

• • Participate DTS definition and confirm manufacturing feasibility
  • Evaluate part tolerance and locator strategy
  • Review measurement plan strategy
  • Evaluate jigs and fixtures solution in stamping and body shop.
  • Dimension control plan
  • Conduct dimension requirement with all related functions(Stamping, Body,Quality)

Dimension maturation Q-loop

• Define master plan for dimension maturation roadmap
• Define PCF detail plan
• Identify high hurt parts list
• Organize dimension maturation meeting with related functions
• Manage part issue list and deep dive meeting if needed
• Evaluate dimension risk in each build phase

Dimension slow build

• Define slow build planning and pre-conditions with cross team
• Implement slow build process following bill of process in body shop
• Identify deviation from process and drive issue solving
• Evaluate the result with permanent solution

CP/CPK driving

• Define measurement points from inline measurement
• Correlation activity to ensure measurement system consistently
• CII calculation for BIW and underbody inline measurement
• Deep dive on all variation and deviation from process
• Continue improvement on CII and handover to production team

Function dimension control

• Define key function dimension with cross team
• Define control plan in stamping and body shop for all function dimension items

Validate and finalize control plan of function dimension during launch
