Lead Specialist, Pilot Build Center

Prototype Shop Center

 

Job Purpose:

 

Key Functional Responsibilities:

 

    • Lead and supervise prototype build technicians and team leaders, acting as the senior technical point of contact for the team. 

    • Educate and develop Grade 3 and Grade 5 technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to build technical capability. 

    • Oversee the assembly, modification, and preparation of prototype vehicles, ensuring work meets engineering specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements. 

    • Work closely with engineering and programme teams to implement changes, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful integration of prototype components. 

    • Maintain control of the assigned build area, including parts, tooling, and workspace organisation, ensuring readiness, safety, and efficient operations. 

 

Job Requirement:

  • Achieve the assigned objectives through the setting of individual objectives, managing performance, and developing and motivating staff. 

  • Participate in the development of the section’s business plans according to the department objectives.  

  • Ensure the effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned activities. 

  • Prepare the budget required from the section and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring unit activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.  

  • Manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices, considering leading standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. 

  • Ensure that all section reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and meet CEER’s requirements, policies, and quality standards. 

  • Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information within or outside CEER. 

  • Ensure adherence to the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment policies and standards across all business functions under the department. 

Bachelor`s degree/ or equivalent experience (6 years) 

Minimum 6 years of experience, 2 years in a team lead role
