Lead Specialist, Prototype Shop Facility

Job Purpose

Prepare and oversee small infrastructure and construction projects (Civil, MEP, HVAC) within the Prototype Shop building, participating from the conceptual phase through to final handover to the internal customer. Support both soft and hard facilities activities to ensure efficient daily operations, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.

 

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Manager in new small construction projects and daily facility operations to maintain an effective working environment.
  • Lead and support facility modification requests, managing minor construction and renovation projects in alignment with industry standards, timelines, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Prepare RFQ (Request for Quotation) documentation for minor construction and facility modification projects within approved cost, quality, and schedule parameters.
  • Develop RFQ packages for hiring consultants supporting facility design, engineering, or construction-related activities.
  • Monitor and supervise service contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and escalate issues as needed to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Supervise Facilities contractors across hard services (civil, electrical, mechanical) and soft services (cleaning, landscaping, waste management).
  • Prepare RFQs for hard and soft services related to Facilities operations and improvement projects.
  • Support the development and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans, coordinating with vendors to ensure proper functioning of facilities, equipment, and systems.
  • Support onsite environmental and waste‑management activities, coordinating tasks and supervising associated service providers.
  • Oversee contractor activities, approve material requests, and supervise all work related to Facilities operations and projects.
  • Lead implementation activities to ensure compliance with corporate Facility Management (FM) requirements and standards.

 

Job Requirements

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Holding a KAWADER certificate is a plus.
  • Must be eligible and willing to apply for the KAWADER certificate with company support.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil, MEP, and HVAC construction.
