Job Purpose
This role ensures successful project delivery by overseeing the engineering team, coordinating with departments, and driving process improvements. The Module Group Manager (MGM) handles project status reporting, resource management, and cross-functional performance evaluation while serving as the main point of contact and escalation for project-related issues. By fostering collaboration and maintaining high standards, the MGM plays a critical role in achieving project milestones and organizational goals.
The MGM reports to Directors and presents the shared vision of the cross-functional team to the C-Suite.
Job Role
Key Functional Responsibilities
- Manage the Module Group at the program level, ensuring alignment and collaboration across multiple departments.
- Achieve Module Group targets and report project status according to customer requirements and program objectives, ensuring full alignment with Program Managers.
- Develop and implement improvements to project-related tasks, processes, and product development (PD) processes that support project delivery.
- Gather, monitor, and report Program KPIs within the Module Group organization.
- Plan and establish the Module Group organization in coordination with the Program Manager and Line Management.
- Lead and manage the Module Group team, including facilitating Module Group Leadership (MGL) meetings.
- Act as the highest authority within the module team for project execution, defining quality, cost, weight, release targets, milestones, and deadlines for each component based on the master schedule.
- Make project-related decisions within the module scope, including technical decisions, in collaboration with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT).
Key Managerial Accountabilities
- Achieve assigned objectives through performance management, employee development, and team motivation.
- Contribute to the development of section business plans aligned with departmental objectives.
- Ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls across all assigned activities.
- Prepare and manage the section budget, monitoring financial performance against approved plans.
- Ensure all section activities comply with approved guidelines and budget requirements.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports that meet organizational requirements, policies, and quality standards.
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information within and outside the organization.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and standards across all relevant functions.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or senior-level role.
