IT Strategic Planning and Governance
Purpose
The Senior Specialist, IT Systems Integrations, is responsible for designing, developing, and governing enterprise-wide integration solutions that ensure seamless data exchange, system interoperability, and operational efficiency across the organization’s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to define and maintain integration architecture aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives.
- Design high-performance, scalable, and secure integration solutions using API-led and event-driven principles.
- Establish integration guidelines, reusable assets, and best practices for system interoperability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners and technical teams to gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, technical specifications, end-to-end integration workflows flows and data mapping.
- Maintain traceability between business requirements and technical deliverables.
- Oversee development and deployment of integration components such as APIs, connectors, and orchestrations.
- Ensure adherence to integration patterns, microservices architecture, and data transformation standards.
- Participate in design walkthroughs, integration mapping sessions, and technical validation workshops.
- Implement and enforce API security standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve integration bottlenecks, scalability issues, and reliability challenges.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and frameworks.
- Maintain architecture documentation, governance policies, and lifecycle management procedures.
- Track and manage requirements and deliverables using ALM tools.
- Support testing, UAT planning, and execution to validate end-to-end data flows and system interoperability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT integration and/or business analysis roles.
- Strong understanding of system integration principles, APIs, and data flows.
- Proficiency in creating process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Knowledge of API management, web services, and data formats.
- Experience with DevOps concepts and CI/CD workflows is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms for hosting and deployment.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
- Exposure to platforms such as Middleware, Customer Management, or Identity Management is a plus.
