Reporting to the OTA & Diagnostics Manager, the OTA Infrastructure support specialist will work closely in a team to efficiently deliver, implement, and support the OTA (Over the Air) solution. OTA is required to update vehicle electronics software over the air at manufacturing and aftersales.


OTA Infrastructure support specialist will be directly responsible for support and development of OTA solution.


The successful candidate will require a working knowledge in IT system implementations including requirement gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, documentation, and validation as well as a demonstrate experience in tools connection using REST/RESTful API.

 
This is a highly technical hands-on position that requires the candidate to work in a teamwork environment as well as independent individual to be successful in the role.
 

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies

 

Education:
•    Diploma in Computer Science, or other technical discipline or equivalent experience 

 

Skills & Competencies:
•    Have experience implementing and supporting an IT solution •    Familiar with full software development lifecycle projects
•    Familiar with Cybersecurity
•    Hands-on experience in developing and analyzing system documentation
•    Knowledge of principles of interaction between different IT systems (e.g. IAM, PKI, PLM)
•    Skilled in REST/RESTful API
•    Skills in programing languages: Java Script, Angular JS, Python, C#. Entity 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Support the front-end design, backend configuration, and implementation of OTA solution, from requirement gathering to commissioning. Uphold existing standard but suggest improvements when needed
•    Create and maintain specifications for interfaces between OTA and other IT connected car systems
•    Create test specifications to validate the system requirements •    Create and maintain user manual for the system
•    Create user permissions and privileges in the OTA system based on user role
•    Create and maintain a simplified UI interface to the OTA solution using UI design framework such as Mendix UI to enhance user experience 
•    Apply technical best practice to ensure high quality solutions, provide code reviews and debugging when necessary
•    Responsible for regular OTA system health checks
•    Provide system support in event of an incident to resolve in a timely manner
•    Work with OTA solution vendor to ensure requirements are met and validated
•    Partnering closely with IT Infrastructure & other application teams to ensure a smooth system implementation and service delivery in case of an incident
•    Training and mentoring the aftersales team and other system stakeholders to ensure proper usage of the system
•    Create manual and tutorials on how to use the OTA & diagnostics system
