Senior Specialist, Parts and Accessories Inventory

Job Purpose

Ensure accurate, timely, and cost‑effective ordering, demand planning, and inventory management of aftersales spare parts and accessories. This role is critical to maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing stock‑outs, and ensuring parts availability at the right time and place to support aftersales operations. The position directly contributes to customer satisfaction, working capital optimization, and overall supply chain efficiency for CEER as an OEM.


Key Functional Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop forecasting and simulation models to estimate parts demand, particularly in cases where historical data is not available.
  • Analyze historical parts consumption, service trends, and seasonal patterns to forecast future requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Service, Sales, and Planning teams to align inventory levels with forecasted demand.
  • Support the development of demand plans across vehicle models, parts categories, and classification segments.

Parts Ordering & Procurement

  • Place purchase orders for spare parts and accessories based on approved demand forecasts and existing stock levels.
  • Track open purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Negotiate lead times, availability, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize supply performance.
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally with Sales, Service, Warehousing & Logistics, Finance, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure uninterrupted parts availability and fulfillment.
  • Prepare and submit purchase requisitions for both externally sourced and in‑house produced parts for management review and approval.

Inventory Management & Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records covering receipts, issues, adjustments, and stock transfers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking, obsolescence, and shortages.
  • Define and implement inventory control measures, including safety stock, reorder points, and minimum/maximum stock levels.

Systems Management & Reporting

  • Utilize SAP ERP and WMS systems for ordering, tracking, and inventory control.
  • Generate regular reports on stock movement, consumption trends, supplier performance, and inventory health.
  • Provide data‑driven insights and KPI dashboards to support operational and commercial decision‑making.
  • Report on forecast accuracy, on‑time delivery performance, inventory turnover ratios, stock‑out incidents, and supplier performance metrics.

Supplier & Service Coordination

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with Service teams to support urgent and critical parts requirements.
  • Escalate and resolve issues related to parts availability, quality concerns, and order discrepancies.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive parts procurement, inventory management, and/or demand planning.
  • Direct experience in aftersales operations within a Dealer or OEM environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is a strong advantage.
