Job Responsibilities
SAP System Administration & Management:
- Manage and maintain various SAP landscapes (SAP S/4HANA, ARIBA, CONCUR, CX, SuccessFactors, SAP IAS, SAP CALM, etc.).
- Perform system upgrades, migrations, and patching.
- Monitor and optimize SAP system performance, including database tuning and performance tuning.
- Manage high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for SAP systems
- The SAP Basis Administrator & Landscape Architect plays a critical role in the organization by ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the SAP ecosystem.
- This position is key to supporting the organization's digital transformation strategy by managing the system administration of SAP RISE with S/4HANA and its integrated solutions (SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, Concur, SAC, IAS, CX and BTP, etc.).
- Establish a strong partnership and have a hands-on approach to manage data, business processes, and solution designing.
- Support of the functional project team and business customers.
- Ability to assess the current processes, identify improvement areas and suggest the technology solution and strong customer-facing skills.
Integration with Third-Party Applications:
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between SAP and third-party applications.
- Work with middleware tools such as SAP cloud connector, SAP CPI, and third-party connectors.
- Ensure smooth data exchange between SAP and external systems using APIs, IDocs, RFCs, and web services.
SAP Security & Compliance:
- Define and manage SAP security policies, including role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Design, implement, and maintain SAP user roles and authorizations.
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) solutions.
Role & Process Design:
- Design and optimize SAP roles and authorization concepts based on business requirements.
- Develop SAP Basis processes, including change management, transport management, and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with business and functional teams to design efficient SAP workflows.
Deployment & AMS Management:
- Lead and manage weekly deployment activities, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
- Oversee SAP transport management and ensure successful deployments across SAP landscapes.
- Manage and guide the AMS team for incident resolution, problem management, and service improvements.
- Work closely with vendors and support partners to ensure SLA adherence and high system availability.
SAP Performance & Monitoring:
- Monitor system health using SAP Solution Manager and third-party monitoring tools.
- Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks, including database, application, and infrastructure issues.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alert mechanisms to minimize downtime.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide expert-level support for SAP Basis-related issues, ensuring quick resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, connectivity, and system-related issues.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical problems.
Cloud & SAP Landscape Optimization (if applicable):
- Manage SAP workloads on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Support SAP HANA migration and optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement SAP Best Practices for cloud-based deployments.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, network, and security teams.
- Communicate effectively with business users, IT teams, and senior management regarding SAP system health and ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies
Education:
- Bachelor of Science, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance & Accounting or Related discipline.
- A master’s degree is preferred but equal experience would also be considered.

Minimum Experience:
- 6 - 10 years of hands-in SAP BASIS, GRC, Cloud ALM, ABAP, SAP Security & Authorization Management
- SAP Certifications or equivalent experience
- One SAP S/4HANA implementation project
- Experience working with onshore and offshore project teams
