Senior Specialist, SAP SCM (MM-EWM)

As the Senior Specialist, SAP SCM, you will lead the development, configuration, and optimization of SAP Advanced Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to support manufacturing operations and supply chain initiatives. This role demands deep technical expertise in SAP Advanced EWM, agile product delivery leadership, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.

You will own the product backlog, manage EWM integrations with SAP and MES, and drive continuous improvements to deliver a streamlined supply chain experience. Knowledge of SAP EWM in conjunction with MM and TM modules is essential.

Job Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document SAP Advanced EWM requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Solution Design & Implementation:
  Optimize business processes using a fit-to-standard approach and promote best practices. Engage with senior product owners to prioritize requirements.

• Backlog Management:
  Maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Define user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals and readiness for development.

• Development & Implementation:
  Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery. Participate in Agile ceremonies and assist in testing and validation of solutions.

• Process Improvement & Reporting:
  Identify opportunities to streamline EWM processes and improve performance. Collaborate with MES teams to ensure reliable JIT/JIS signal traffic between AGVs and SAP.

• Stakeholder Communication:
  Provide regular updates on product development progress. Support training and documentation for effective end-user adoption.

• Testing & Validation:
  Work with QA teams to develop test plans, conduct UAT, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

• Compliance & Security:
  Ensure solutions comply with internal policies and industry standards. Maintain detailed documentation for audit and reference.

• Documentation & Training:
  Develop and maintain system configuration and process documentation. Provide training and support to users and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP EWM certifications (preferred).
• Deep knowledge of SAP Advanced EWM functionalities (e.g., task interleaving, RF frameworks, resource management).
• Familiarity with ABAP for debugging and collaboration with development teams.
• Experience with automation technologies and warehouse robotics (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Fiori apps related to EWM.

Experience:

• 8 to 10+ years in SAP EWM implementation, configuration, and support.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and supply chain operations.
• Experience integrating EWM with SAP modules (TM, MM, SD) and external systems.
• Experience working with ABAP developers for customizations and integrations.

Certifications:

• SAP certifications in EWM; TM integration experience preferred.
• Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.
• APICS certification in Supply Chain is a major plus (not required).
