Senior Specialist, Systems Administration

IT Enterprise Infrastructure

Job Purpose

Perform day-to-day planning, deployment, commissioning, and operation of Global CEER IT Infrastructure and Operations services, with a primary focus on desktop environments. Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews to support change management processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Operational Duties:

  • Build and create desktop images using automation tools (SCCM, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
  • Deploy desktops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and software licenses to end users.
  • Manage user permissions via Microsoft Active Directory and OKTA.
  • Administer SCCM, Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Group Policies (GPO).
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security to review and deploy client patches.
  • Add users to systems like Active Directory, Azure AD, and MFA.
  • Engineer, build, deploy, and operate IT services for CEER customers.
  • Maintain and enhance Microsoft Virtual Desktop on Azure and VMware environments.
  • Monitor and maintain CEER AD, Intune, and Endpoint servers.

Process & Strategy:

  • Develop and maintain technical standards and documentation for desktop IT services.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement reliability improvements.
  • Plan and execute maintenance strategies to improve MTBF and reduce downtime.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing within the support team.
  • Manage technology delivery to meet SLAs.
  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Utilize automation tools (e.g., Ansible) for task optimization.
  • Maintain software and system updates.

Development & Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with external service providers and vendors.
  • Proactively pursue certifications in desktop, cloud, and related technologies.
  • Write scripts or code using PowerShell, VB, JavaScript, Python, or C#.

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: ITIL v3+ Foundation certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a large company or government entity.
  • Experience with Operational Technology (OT) and/or manufacturing environments is a plus.
