Direct Procurement – BIW and Chassis

Job Purpose:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for Sourcing Goods and Services related to Direct Procurement (BIW Components), Managing Supplier Relationships, and overseeing procurement activities to optimize cost and efficiency while ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational requirements 

Key Functional Responsibilities:

  1. Develop commodity strategies, including part and supplier strategies.
  2. Support product change requests by reviewing, communicating, and assessing impacts on pricing and capacity plans.
  3. Identify and track supplier localization opportunities and drive the localization execution process to achieve defined targets.
  4. Ensure timely sourcing in line with vehicle program development, approved supplier panels, specifications, quality standards, and market competitiveness.
  5. Prepare purchase orders based on finalized negotiations with selected suppliers and in alignment with organizational targets and requirements.
  6. Coordinate with suppliers to resolve pricing, quality, delivery, or invoicing issues, and track supplier capacity and ramp‑up schedules to meet pre‑build and mass production requirements.
  7. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier market dynamics.
  8. Research and evaluate cost‑reduction opportunities and drive savings initiatives.
  9. Stay informed of changes affecting supply and demand for required products and materials, and communicate any potential impact to relevant stakeholders.
  10. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Program, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain etc.,) and Suppliers on new projects, supplies, and initiatives, advising on the impact of changes on purchasing and production activities.
  11. Prepare, Deliver and maintain briefs, updates, and reports, including tracking and reporting savings to the Procurement Manage

Job Requirement:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Supply chain management / Business administration
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant Procurement & Supply Chain Experience, ideally within the industry sector
  3. SAP/ARIBA and Power BI (Excel) experience is preferable
