This associate will need to bring a strong drive to exceed expectations and communicate transparently and directly. Above all, the associate will drive the continued operational development and successful launch of the first Saudi automotive company
Job Description:
- Manage daily logistics requests from internal stake holders and execute the shipments on time through FFW or Carriers.
- Track and Trace the shipments and update the status of shipments on daily basis.
- Validate the Freight bills submitted by carriers and work with internal stakeholders for on time payment.
- Monitor and improve operational KPI’s and ensure corrective action from LSP in case of deviations.
- Escalation points for operational issues with all inbound freight (Air/Ocean/Domestic)
- Sea & Air & Road Freight bid support and requirement definition to support procurement activities.
- Monitoring Carrier performance and take actions to improve LSP issues.
- Ensure schedule adherence and damages.
- Support Damage claims and corrective actions
- Should have experience in handling all modes of transportations like Air, Sea, Road, Courier and Multimodal.
- Ensure all certifications (Saber, PCOC, OK2FWD,etc) are in place before executing the shipments.
- Develop strong working relationships with the freight forwarders and Supply Chain teams, Transport Procurement and material planning team to:
- Clearly understand and document requirements for daily management of int’l air and sea, Road freight (including forecasting)
- Proactively communicate delays or other impacts to their deliveries while streamlining communications
- Oversee plant compliance (Pre-notice of shipments, On-time delivery, Proper packaging, and labeling)
- Ensure proper Bill of Lading for all shipments.
- Ensure PO/Contract and Budget before executing any shipment.
- Must have knowledge in handling DG cargo shipments.
Skils & Education:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Operations, Engineering, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain field preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- English language proficiency.
- Continuous improvement process experience
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Results focused, motivated and energetic
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Minimum Experience:
- Experience with project and process management
- Experience with leading and managing transportation activities
- 8D/ 5-Why Problem-Solving Experience
- Experience in using transportation management systems (SAP )
- Minimum 2+ years experience in a Transportation Logistics role involving international air and sea freight
