Tax and Customs

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for supporting CEER’s tax compliance and reporting activities by preparing and reviewing tax filings, maintaining accurate tax records, and ensuring adherence to ZATCA regulations and internal policies. The role assists in tax calculations, reconciliations, audits, and documentation to support accurate financial reporting, mitigate tax risks, and maintain full compliance with applicable tax laws.

 

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and filing all required tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission in line with CEER standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the review and reconciliation of tax balances recorded in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial records.
  • Prepare regular tax reports (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) for internal stakeholders and support submissions to the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
  • Assist in calculating and preparing tax adjustments, zakat base calculations, withholding tax computations, and VAT reconciliations to ensure compliance and optimization.
  • Support the preparation of documentation required for tax audits and ZATCA inquiries, ensuring timely responses and accurate representation.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up‑to‑date tax documentation, including filing records, correspondence with authorities, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather data necessary for tax filings and reporting activities.
  • Assist in implementing tax compliance controls and procedures, ensuring adherence to CEER’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support tax risk identification by highlighting discrepancies, compliance gaps, or areas requiring corrective action.

 

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience

  • 0–3 years of experience in a relevant field.
