Job Purpose


The PTS: EE Systems Technician within the Prototype shop is responsible for the Assembling, disassembling, and modifying the EE parts from the prototype vehicles and benches. Key deliverable is to support Engineers on commissioning and diagnosing the EE systems.

 

Job Role


Key Functional Responsibilities 

 

  • Supporting EE Commissioning of prototype vehicles as per plan
  • Assembling and disassembling the EE parts like harnesses, ECUs etc.,
  • Performing harness repairs and modifications as per the instructions given by engineers
  • Performing function checks as per the given procedure
  • Moving the vehicles inside, support test drives on tracks
  • Managing storage and tracking of EE parts
  • May have to travel around the world to manage vehicle repair on test facilities
  • Preparing EE parts for the build including rework of harness, arranging the parts etc.,
  • Maintaining the EE tools and spares.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing/Engineering workshop or prototype environment as a repair or assembly technician
  • Experience in car or bus repairing, electrical domain is preferred.
  • Experience in working on High Voltage with a proper training for a significant time of the career.
  • Experience in SW flashing, calibration, diagnostics of electrical systems and Harness modifications.
  • Good communication skills, English required.
  • Good General Computer Software skills
  • Must be process orientated, disciplined and Quality Driven
  • Supporting Testing and validation teams around the world on commissioning
  • Working closely with other teams within PTS to achieve the one goal to deliver qualified cars on time.
  • Prepare and report the repair instructions and repair reports to the EE management of PTS.
  • Adhere all Departmental and Organizational policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with risk, audit, and regulatory requirements while delivering a quality, cost-effective service
  • Adhere all process standards defined within the organization

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Motorcar mechanic Qualification (Preferably Electrical) certified by a school or university or Equivalent.
  • Knowledge of automotive mechanisms, electrical and mechanical
  • Good driving skills with a valid KSA driver’s license
  • Knowledge of automotive high voltage safety
  • Knowledge of Harness reworks and repair
  • Knowledge of electrical debugging
  • Familiar with tools like soldering machines, crimping tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes etc.,
  • Good Team skills
  • 2+ years relevant experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry in EE domain.
