Job Purpose
The PTS Technician is responsible for building vehicles from sub-assemblies to complete vehicles starting from the Body-in-White (BIW) stage. Daily tasks will vary based on business needs; however, competence in full vehicle build from BIW is essential. The role requires careful handling to minimize damage to prototype vehicles or parts. At times, modifications to BIW or sub-components may be necessary, requiring basic fabrication skills.
Key Accountabilities
Safety & Environment
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Wear correct PPE and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Work Execution
- Perform automotive manufacturing tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Follow verbal or written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Carry out basic fabrication or modification of parts when required.
Time & Flexibility
- Demonstrate good time management and openness to flexible working hours.
Issue Management
- Identify issues promptly, stop work if necessary, and escalate to the team leader.
- Report potential issues in a timely manner to the line manager.
Cross-functional Support
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet departmental requirements.
- Provide support to other team members when authorized.
Compliance
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with risk, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Vocational/technical qualifications from a recognized school or industry.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good verbal and written English; basic Arabic proficiency.
- Knowledge of automotive industry and vehicle architecture.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of vehicle high-voltage safety.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience within an automotive environment.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing and vehicle build processes.
- Willingness to work in a production line environment.
